What comes after Post-Post-Modern?

I say what comes next is “Artdamaged”! If all art is really derivative, then we have more influences than every generation of artists that came before us. I’m influenced by many art movements of the 20th century, innovators who filtered the concepts and stylistic expressions of their peers into new experiments. These are the artists that inspire me and encourage me to seek new ways of seeing this world and the way it reveals itself through artwork.

My formal education left me with a balance of fine art technique and design sensibilities that reveals itself in my work.  A lifetime of creative enthusiasm has provided me with many opportunities for experimentation with this balance, while seeking new visual languages, context, and interface between art styles and culture that effects our world.

My galleries will reveal various visual motifs.  Many of the themes develop during the painting process with a basic concept or mapping of areas.  Style and content evolves through this improvised process.  One might suggest that in this manner of working, the countless influences of our world, media, art, and pop-culture will manifest in either the artist’s subconscious decisions or the viewers interpretation (which are ultimately the same). What might seem random, could potentially link our experiences.

I hope that you resonate with something you see here.
